Information we collect
Enquiry form. If you use the form on our Contact page, we collect what you enter: your name, telephone number, email address, the service your enquiry is about (if you choose one) and your message. When the form is sent, the website also records the date and time, your IP address, your browser type and the page you sent it from.
Email, telephone and post. If you contact us in another way, we keep the details you give us so that we can deal with your enquiry.
Job applications. If you send us a CV, we use the information in it to consider your application.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and give you the information or quotation you ask for
- to keep a record of our dealings with you
- to consider a job application
- to protect the website from spam and misuse
Our legal basis
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for using your information. For enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, and on taking steps at your request before a contract is made. For job applications, we rely on taking steps at your request to consider your application.
Who we share it with
We share your information only where it is needed to run this website and our business, or where the law requires it. This includes our website hosting provider and our email provider. Enquiry form entries are stored in our own website database and are not sent to a separate form service.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and application information for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it for, and for our business and legal record keeping. If you would like us to delete your information sooner, contact us using the details above.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. This website does not set cookies on your device when you browse it. It does not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking tools, and it does not store anything else on your device.
Members of staff who sign in to manage the website receive cookies that WordPress uses to keep them signed in. These are not set for ordinary visitors.
Google Maps
Our Contact page shows a map. Until you choose to load it, the page shows a map image stored on our own website and nothing is sent to Google. If you select “Load interactive Google Map”, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies or collect other information, as described in Google’s privacy policy. The “Get directions” and “Open in Google Maps” links also take you to Google Maps. The map image is drawn from data from OpenStreetMap contributors, and loading the page does not contact OpenStreetMap.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information we hold. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please take care over what you include in an online message.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it
- receive the information you gave us in a portable format, where this applies
- withdraw your consent, where we are relying on it
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would like the chance to put things right first, so please contact us before you do.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
